Your Impact

From investing in life enrichment and wellness activities for our residents to advancing the professional success of our valuable team members, you are changing lives when you donate to the Saint Simeon’s Foundation. Your support enables us to create a vibrant senior community that allows our residents to age with grace and dignity and enjoy a meaningful and fulfilling life. Below are some examples of how your investment in the Saint Simeon’s Foundation has made a difference in the lives of our residents and staff.

The Power of Human Connections & Community

Aging can be a lonely experience, but not at Saint Simeon’s!

Because of private support, Saint Simeon’s organizes festive gatherings that bring residents together and create the social connections essential for mental, emotional and physical health. Private support enables Saint Simeon’s to host movie nights, happy hours, holiday gatherings, music nights, outdoor festivals, and to organize fun off-site excursions such as attending a Drillers game or going to the Oklahoma Aquarium.

Arts & Music Therapy

Thanks to the support that we receive from the Hardesty Family Foundation and Mary Ann Hille, Saint Simeon’s offers a cadre of fine art activities for our residents.

A generous grant from the Hardesty Family Foundation enables us to invite local musicians to perform music for our residents. Research has shown that music therapy can improve mood, memory, communication, and social engagement in people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

A grant from Mary Ann Hille allows Saint Simeon’s to offer weekly art classes that encourages our residents to express their inner thoughts and channel their creative energy onto different mediums of arts. Studies have shown that art therapy can support emotional well-being by providing an outlet for self-expression and creativity in a non-verbal way.

Spiritual Nourishment

Saint Simeon’s is blessed to have Reverend Debbie Starnes as our on-site chaplain. Reverend Deb provides spiritual and emotional support to residents and their families in times of joy, sorrow, and despair. Thanks to philanthropic support, Reverend Deb has the funds needed to provide support and spiritual guidance for our residents and their families. She hosts support gatherings for new residents and their families as they adjust to life at Saint Simeon’s and to the complex emotions that come with transitioning a loved one to a senior community. She also organizes fireside chats and singalongs for our residents who are veterans so that they can share emotions and experiences with other veterans as they form human connections over shared military experiences

Safe & Reliable Transportation

In April 2026, the Saint Simeon’s Foundation funded the purchase of a new resident transportation van. The previous  vehicle was over 10 years old and was outfitted with outdated technology and equipment, making it hard to load and unload our wheelchair residents. The vehicle would also occasionally break down. The new van has state-of-the-art technology that makes transporting wheelchair residents effortless and safe. Thanks to the generosity of donors, our residents now have access to safe, reliable transportation to get to doctor appointments and run errands.

Fitness & Wellness – Making a Huge Splash

Health and wellness are important in all stages of life, especially for our residents who face an increased risk of health concerns as they age. Health and wellness programs at Saint Simeon’s play a critical role in ensuring our residents maintain their quality of life, independence, and overall well-being. Thanks to the support of private donors, Saint Simeon’s was able to make the necessary repairs to our heated swimming pool. Now that our pool is fully operational again, our health and wellness team can work with residents on low-impact water exercises to keep them fit and healthy. The buoyancy of the water reduces strain on joints, making it an ideal exercise option for residents who live with arthritis, joint pain, or other physical limitations.
